Grandeur and tragedy, power and retribution — at the heart of the opera Alexandru Lăpușneanu unfolds the drama of a merciless era. Beneath lavish celebrations lie traps, in prayers — betrayal, in love — despair. Set against a backdrop of majestic music, a story of power takes shape — one that elevates and destroys. Fates collide, masks fall, and vengeance delivers truth. This is more than a performance — it is history’s cry, embodied in voices and sound. Alexandru Lăpușneanu stands as a significant achievement in the cultural and artistic life of the republic. For the first time in Moldovan opera, the genre of socio-historical tragedy is brought to life, with symphonic development as the cornerstone of the production. see more
